William H. Skaggs

William was born in 1836 in Tennessee.¹ William's father was William T. Skaggs and his mother was Susan Reeves. His paternal grandparents were William David Skaggs and Margaret Hoover; his maternal grandparents were John Reeves and Catherine Perry. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Moses, George, Joseph, Jasper, Benjamin, Joshua, Susanna and Chloe. He was the second oldest of the nine children.
