William A. Skaggs 
William was born on October 30th, 1854 in Taylor County, Kentucky.1 William's father was Richard Wade Skaggs and his mother was Elizabeth Underwood. His paternal grandparents were <Unknown> and Nannie Skaggs; his maternal grandparents were Abraham Hiram Underwood and Mary Roark. He had five brothers named John, Jim Jackey, Marshall, Jesse and Richard. He was the second oldest of the six children. He had two half-sisters named Elsie/Alice and Delila. He died at the age of 76 on June 3rd, 1931 in Bartlett, Bell County, Texas. He was buried on June 3rd, 1931 in McLean Cemetery (Mud Spring), Bell County, Texas.1 1 General Notes

Note:
William Skaggs died in Bell County, Texas. His death certificate
stated his father was R. W. Skeggs and mother Elizabeth
Underwood. Both parents of William A. Skaggs were listed as
born in Kentucky. The informant to the death certificate was
his wife, Elizabeth.
William and Elizabeth (Warren) Skaggs had no children. They lived very
close to the Felix Grundy Warren branch of the family, some who had
moved from Taylor County, Kentucky to Bell County, Texas between
1883-1884.
