Dr. Monroe Simmons 
Monroe was born in 1849. Monroe's father was Spencer D. Simmons and his mother was Elizabeth Moss. His paternal grandparents were James Simmons and Stacy Ann Roberts. He had seven brothers and a sister, named James Arnold, Spencer Sargent, Obediah, Francis M., John, Daniel, George and Eliza. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children. He had a half-sister named Rachael.General Notes
