Jane Shirley 
Jane was born in 1470 in Shirley, Ashbourne, Derbyshire, England. Jane's father was John Shirley and her mother was Eleanor Willoughby. Her maternal grandparents were Hugh Willoughby and Margaret De Freville. She had eight brothers and four sisters, named Ralph, Thomas, Robert, Hugh, Nicholas, Henry, Richard, Baldwin, Margaret, Alice, Eleanor and Anne. She was the seventh oldest of the thirteen children.-
