Jefferson Sherman Shipley 
Jefferson Sherman was born in February 1862 in Chester, Crawford County, Arkansas, USA.1 Jefferson Sherman's father was Nathan Pascal SHIPLEY and his mother was Elizabeth Mildred LESTER. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Franklin SHIPLEY and Sarah "Sally" BURKETT. He had four brothers and a sister, named William Lester, Thomas Wilson, James Wright, Nathan Pascal and Eliza Jane. He was the youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 41 on January 1st, 1904 in Rockwall, Rockwall County, Texas, USA. Jefferson Sherman Shipley (1) was born in February 1862 in Chester, Crawford County, Arkansas, USA. He married Mary Belle Ogles the 4th of August, 1887 in Crawford County, Arkansas, USA. She was born in Tennessee(2) or Missouri(3) to John J. Ogles and Fruzie Ann (Fonzana) McGinnis.(4) Her family came from Gibson County, Tennessee, USA. Jefferson and Mary moved to Rockwall, Rockwall County, Texas, USA. He died the 1st of January, 1904 in Rockwall, Rockwall County, Texas, USA while stalking wheat in the hot sun. He is buried in the Oakland Memorial Park Cemetery in Kaufman County, Texas, USA.
