Parnella was born in 1408 in Clifton, Runcorn, Cheshire, England. Parnella's father was John SAVAGE II and her mother was Matilda (Maud) SWYNNERTON. Her maternal grandparents were Robert SWYNNERTON and Elizabeth BEKE. She had four brothers and eight sisters, named William Arnod, George, Robert, John, Maude, Alcie, Blanch, Margaret, Beatrice, Ann, Mary and Margary. She was the third youngest of the thirteen children.-
