Jane was born in 1427 in Clifton, Runcorn, Cheshire, England. Jane's father was Sir John SAVAGE III and her mother was Eleanor (Elizabeth) DE BRERETON. Her paternal grandparents were John SAVAGE II and Matilda (Maud) SWYNNERTON. She had a brother and seven sisters, named John, Margaret, Eleanor, Elizabeth, Ellen, Ann, Katherine and Dulcia Alice. She was the third oldest of the nine children.-
