Walter A. was born in 1829 in Granville Co, NC.1 Walter A.'s father was James T. Roberts and his mother was Rebecca Jones. His paternal grandparents were Jeremiah Roberts and Temperance Unknown. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Presley, Simeon Wesley, Willie Paron, Nathaniel, Sylvia, Lively, Alice, Rebecca and Martha. He was the fifth oldest of the ten children.1 General Notes
