Martha M. was born in 1843 in Rockingham Co, NC.1 Martha M.'s father was Henry B. Roberts and her mother was Minerva Ann Price. Her paternal grandparents were Henry Roberts and Rebecca Anna Thomas. She had four brothers and two sisters, named William S., Reed, N. B., James, Mary E. and Nancy S.. She was the oldest of the seven children.1 General Notes
