Ellis Roberts 
Ellis was born in 1810 in Orange Co, NC.1 Ellis' father was James Roberts and his mother was Sarah Ellis. His paternal grandparents were Charles Roberts and Mary Langston. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Nathan, James C., Nancy, Margaret, Mary, Sarah D. and Rebecca. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 43 in 1853.1 General Notes
