Elizabeth Poteat Roberts 
Elizabeth Poteat was born in May 1837 in Caswell Co, NC and her baptism took place in Census 1860.1 Elizabeth Poteat's father was Elijah Roberts and her mother was Rebecca B. Davis. Her paternal grandparents were Leavin Roberts and Nancy Carrell. She had five brothers and a sister, named John R., James L., Jerome B. J., Elijah Hanville, William Anderson and Ann Poteat. She was the third youngest of the seven children.1 General Notes
