Charles Jay Roberts 
Charles Jay was born on May 25th, 1897 in Rockingham Co, NC. Charles Jay's father was Tony John Roberts and his mother was Mary Ida Williams. His paternal grandparents were Walter R. Roberts and Sarah Ann Wray. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Jesse Lee, Abel Glenn, Jasper Tony, Laura Sue, Ida Myrtle and Hattie Jane. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 81 on February 21st, 1979 in Reidsville, Rockingham Co, NC.General Notes
