Jordan Paynell

Jordan was born in 1097 in Drax, Yorkshire, England.¹   Jordan's father was Ralph de Paynel I and his mother was Maud de Surdeval.  His maternal grandparents were Richard de Surdeval and <Unknown>. He had three brothers named William, Helias and Alexander.  He was the second oldest of the four children.
