David Ogilvy 
David was born about 1412 in Lintrathen, Forfar, Angusshire, Scotland.1 David's father was Sir Walter Ogilvy High Treasurer of Scotland and his mother was Isobel Glen. His paternal grandparents were Sheriff Walter Ogilvy of Angusshire and Isabel Ramsay; his maternal grandparents were Sir John Glen and Margaret Erskine. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Walter, John, Giles, Patrick, George, Isabella, Margaret and Egidia. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children.-
