Arthur E. was born in September 1881 in Ohio. Arthur E.'s father was Amos H. NORMAN and his mother was Mary Ann SHERRARD. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin NORMAN Jr. and Charlotte LIGGET. He had four brothers and a sister, named Charles H., Frank M., Harry W., Sirous and Florence. He was the youngest of the six children.-
