Martha J Mutter 
Martha J was born in 1835 in Green Co, KY. Martha J's father was William Mutter and her mother was Susan Despain. Her maternal grandparents were William Despain and Sarah Lewis. She was an only child. She died at the age of 31 in June 1866 in Coffey Co, KS.General Notes

Martha was the daughter of William and Susan (Despain) Mutter and therefore, a second cousin to John. This shows that there was contact between the Iowa and the Illinois Despains. She died before Jun 1866. None of the family was in the 1865 Kansas State Census. It is not known where they were or if they were missed..
