Nicholas (Blind Nick) McCubbin 
Nicholas, known as Blind Nick, was born in 1780 in Rockingham County, North Carolina.1 Blind Nick's father was John Israel McCubbin and his mother was Sapho Lunnon. His paternal grandparents were William McCubbin and Elenor Conlery; his maternal grandparents were Mark Lunnon and <Unknown>. He had two brothers and eight sisters, named John, Zachariah, Lydia, Elizabeth, Kitty, Nancy, Susannah, Virginia, Sarah and Nellie. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 75 in 1855 in Green County, Kentucky. He was buried in Walker Cemetery on Jim Marcum farm.2 1 -
