John McCubbin

John was born in 1790 in Rockingham County, North Carolina.¹ John's father was John Israel McCubbin and his mother was Sapho Lunnon. His paternal grandparents were William McCubbin and Elenor Conlery; his maternal grandparents were Mark Lunnon and <Unknown>. He had two brothers and eight sisters, named Blind Nick, Zachariah, Lydia, Elizabeth, Kitty, Nancy, Susannah, Virginia, Sarah and Nellie. He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children.
