William Nathaniel MURPHY 
William Nathaniel was born on December 12th, 1835 in Maury Co.,TN. William Nathaniel's father was Miles Pinckney MURPHY and his mother was Eleanor Ja Cynthia MACK. His paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Green Murphy and Mary "Polly" MACK. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Miles Pinckney, Robert Constantine, Thomas C., Infant, Mary J. and Sarah Constantine Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 70 on December 13th, 1905 in Maury Co.,TN. He was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery,Maury Co.,TN.General Notes

INFO: Note: He and Catharine had 4 boys and 4 girls. He was a school teacher. He moved to Broadview neighborhood in infancy, & spent all his life in this vicinity. His second wife was the widow of Jas N. Farris, who brought two daughters to the home. Century Review of Maury County; Bethel Christian Church , William preached during 1866. Ephesus Church - A few years since Mr. Murphy purchased the first farm North of the Poor Farm, formerly belonging to LaFayette Wilkes, & his ministrations here resulted in the organization of Ephesus Church, June 1904, 5 miles south of Columbia, where 25 members are enrolled & a church house has been erected.
