John Lyon 
John was born on July 8th, 1763 in Redding, Fairfield, Connecticut. John's father was John Lyon and his mother was Hepzibah Betts. His paternal grandparents were Nathan Lyon and Abigail Mallory. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Peter, George, William Henry, Abigail, Reuben, Sabra and Ruth. He was the oldest of the eight children.-
