Catherine Logan 
Catherine was born in 1831 in Illinois.1 Catherine's father was *John Logan Rev. Elder and her mother was *Nancy Newell. Her maternal grandparents were Peter Newell and Susannah Durham. She had three brothers and eight sisters, named *Samuel C., John A., James E., Sarina, Susan Ann, Mary Jane, Nancy M., Sarah Elizabeth Black, Malinda Durham, America N. and Lavina. She was the fifth youngest of the twelve children.1 General Notes
