Charles Elwood Kirkman 
Charles Elwood's father was Charlie Benton Kirkman and his mother was Sarah Ellen Grant. His maternal grandparents were Ulysses Simmons Grant and Lucinda Bullen. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Howard Franklin, William Henry, Edgar Benton, Frederick Carl Deforest, Dora and Garnet Lucille.General Notes
