Jack Elmer Dennis was born on July 4th, 1895 in Van Buren Co, TN and his baptism took place in Draft Registration. Jack Elmer Dennis' father was John W. King and his mother was Maggie 'Mag' J. Simmons. His maternal grandparents were William M. Simmons and Mary Catherine Stipe. He had four brothers named James Thompson, William Zeb, Charles and Clarence P..
