Sarah Ann was born on February 17th, 1861 in Turkey Creek, Henry Co, VA.1 Sarah Ann's father was Robert Alexander Joyce and her mother was Martha Jane Roberts. Her paternal grandfather was Martin James Joyce; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Jefferson Roberts and Arrena Wortha Hopper. She had a brother named Robert Francis 'Frank'. She was the younger of the two children. She died at the age of 49 on September 1st, 1910 in Rockingham Co, NC. She was buried in Price Family Cemetery, Rockingham Co, NC.1 1 General Notes
