Carrie C. was born in October 1880 in North Carolina.1 Carrie C.'s father was Samuel B Howard and her mother was Ellen. Her maternal grandparents were Henry Naylor Foster and Camelia CORNATZER. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Tassia E, Samuel M, John M, Lula H and Ori Ellen. She was the oldest of the six children.-
