Philip Herbert

Philip was born in 1444 in Llnfhngl Clcrnl, Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, England.¹ Philip's father was 1st Earl of Pembroke William de Herbert and his mother was Anne Devereux. His paternal grandparents were William ap Thomas of Raglan Castle and Gladys Gam; his maternal grandparents were Walter Devereaux and Elizabeth Merbury. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Walter, George, John, Thomas, William, Maud, Cecilie, Isabel, Anne and Catherine. He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children.
