Cecilie Herbert

Cecilie was born in 1456 in Ragland, Monmouthshire, England.¹ Cecilie's father was 1st Earl of Pembroke William de Herbert and her mother was Anne Devereux. Her paternal grandparents were William ap Thomas of Raglan Castle and Gladys Gam; her maternal grandparents were Walter Devereaux and Elizabeth Merbury. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Walter, George, Philip, John, Thomas, William, Maud, Isabel, Anne and Catherine. She was the fourth youngest of the eleven children.
