Margaret HIGHFIELD

Margaret was born about 1838 in Kentucky.¹ Margaret's father was John HIGHFIELD and her mother was Catherine APPLEGATE. Her maternal grandparents were Benjamin APPLEGATE and Hannah PETERS. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Abner, Alfred, John, Mary Jane and Catherine. She was the second youngest of the six children. She had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named James Perry, Sarah A., Clarinda C. and Paulina.
