Alfred HIGHFIELD

Alfred was born about 1827 in Kentucky.¹ Alfred's father was John HIGHFIELD and his mother was Catherine APPLEGATE. His maternal grandparents were Benjamin APPLEGATE and Hannah PETERS. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Abner, John, Mary Jane, Catherine and Margaret. He was the second oldest of the six children. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named James Perry, Sarah A., Clarinda C. and Paulina.
