James Diskin Grant 
James Diskin was born on June 4th, 1822 in NC.1 James Diskin's father was Archibald Grant and his mother was Lydia Roberts. His maternal grandparents were Vincent Roberts and Elizabeth Reed. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Milton Powell, Alfred Roberts, Eliza Reed, Jemina Vincent, Mary Rebecca, Baby, Frances Ann and Martha Leah. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 11 on June 26th, 1833 in NC.1 General Notes
