James Kerr Givens 
James Kerr was born on July 26th, 1794 in Virginia. James Kerr's father was Thomas G. Givens and his mother was Elizabeth (Betsy) Kerr. His maternal grandparents were James Kerr and Jane Robertson. He had five brothers and three sisters, named John Allen "Jack", Thompson, Thomas Kerr, Nathaniel Karr, William, Margaret, Elizabeth and Mary A.. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 60 on April 7th, 1855 in Hopkins County, Kentucky.General Notes
