Sarah J was born about 1904 in Missouri. Sarah J's father was Charles Brown Foster and her mother was Harriet Ellen Nellie Dixon. Her paternal grandparents were John Wesley Foster and Mary Anne Fitzgerald. She had six brothers and a sister, named Harry, Oscar, Roy, Charles W, Alfred V, Devoid Emerald and Lucy. She was the fourth youngest of the eight children.-
