John Taylor Foster

John Taylor was born on November 19th, 1917 in Davie, North Carolina.¹ John Taylor's father was Romulus Alvin Foster and his mother was Nannie Bell Smith. His paternal grandparents were Brainard Taylor Foster and Elizabeth Ann Frye. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Robert Ward, Walter Glenn, James Thomas, Billy Clay, Alvin Gene "Butterbean", Blanche Elizabeth and Wilma F. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 83 on January 29th, 2001 in Winston-Salem, Forsyth, North Carolina. He was buried in February 2001 in Yadkin Valley Baptist Church Cemetery.¹
