James Allen Foster 
James Allen was born on October 28th, 1851 in Barren Co Ky. James Allen's father was Joseph Benjamin Foster and his mother was Mary Ellen Nichols. His paternal grandparents were Austin Foster and Lucinda Boyd. He had three brothers and five sisters, named John Wiley, Joseph H, George E, Nancy Allen, Lucinda F, Isabelle, Alicia D and Julia. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 88 on February 29th, 1940 in Sidney, Fremont Counry, Iowa. He was buried in February 1940 in Sidney Cemetery, Sidney, Fremont County, Iowa.-
