Hamilton "Ham" Jefferson was born on September 19th, 1880 in Marion County, Indiana.1 Hamilton "Ham" Jefferson's father was James Allen Foster and his mother was Nancy Alice Shilling. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Benjamin Foster and Mary Ellen Nichols. He had two brothers named Jessie Oliver and Archie Cleveland. He was the second oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 81 on October 7th, 1961 in Hamburg, Fremont County, Iowa.-
