His paternal grandparents were Austin Foster and Lucinda Boyd. He had five brothers and six sisters, named James Edward, Samuel Berry, John Thomas, Henry Tweed, Charles Jasper, Mary Susie, Nancy Ann, Georgianna, Lena Belle, Lucettia and Lorisettie. He was the youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 67 on April 4th, 1958 in Barren Co., KY, US.-
