Alta Rayne was born on February 27th, 1893 in Linden, Montgomery County, Indiana.1 Alta Rayne's father was John Beaugard Foster and her mother was Margaret Annis Barton. Her paternal grandparents were James M Foster and Eliza Ann Allen. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Lincoln W, Lincoln Lee, Olin S, Olive S and Garrett Glee. She was the third oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 59 on May 5th, 1952 in Linden, Montgomery County, Indiana.-
