Helen was born in 1729.1   Helen's father was Samuel Durham and her mother was Mary Riggan.  Her maternal grandparents were James Riggan and Joan. She had two brothers and three sisters, named William, Edward, Mealy, Sarah and Frances.  She was the youngest of the six children.
