Amanda Despain 
Amanda was born in 1841 in , , Illinois. Amanda's father was William Joseph Despain and her mother was Janetta S. Katherine Eaton. Her paternal grandparents were Peter DeSpain and Nancy Skaggs. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Augustus, Oscar H., Christopher Columbus, Albert, Mary F., Eliza Jane, Emma and Nettie. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children.General Notes
