Marion Crichton 
Marion was born about 1470 in Sanquhar Castle, Dumfrieshire, Scotland. Marion's father was 6th Laird of Sanquhar Sir Robert Crichton and her mother was Marion Stuart. Her maternal grandparents were Lord of Lorn John Mourach Stuart and Florence MacDonald. She had a brother and two sisters, named 7th Laird of Sanquhar Sir Robert, Elizabeth and Margaret. She was the second oldest of the four children.-
