Elizabeth was born about 1404 in Sterborough Castle, Lingfield, Kent, England. Elizabeth's father was Reginald 3Rd Baron Cobham and her mother was Eleanor Colepeper. Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Colepeper and Eleanor Greene. She had a brother and a sister, named Reginald and Eleanor. She was the oldest of the three children.1 General Notes
