Nancy J. 'Pope' was born in 1850 in Henderson Co, TN and her baptism took place in Census 1860. Nancy J. 'Pope''s father was Thomas C. Cary and her mother was Mary C. 'Polly' Harris. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Cary and Elizabeth Roberts. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Felix G. 'Pope', William Alexander 'Pope', James H., Joseph W., Samuel T., Dicy E. 'Pope' and Paralee Pilina 'Pope'. She was the oldest of the eight children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Alvin and Frances Elizabeth.General Notes
