John Cary

John was born in 1701 in Skiffs Creek, Warwick, Virginia. John's father was Lt. Col. William Cary and his mother was Martha Scarisbrook. His maternal grandparents were Lt. Col. John Scarisbrook and Mary Martiau. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Harwood, Major Miles, William, Martha and Elizabeth. He was the second youngest of the six children.
