Ethel Leona was born on August 15th, 1896 in Carroll Co, TN and her baptism took place in Census 1930.1 Ethel Leona's father was Granville Martin Cary and her mother was Earnest Ora Dodd. Her paternal grandparents were William W. Cary and Sarah Martha Georgia Ann Johnson. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Ollie A., Gene William, Vallie R., Eddie Graper, Ettie, Nona Maria, Ila M. and Lessie B.. She was the oldest of the nine children. She had a half-brother named James Alexander.General Notes
