Prince, Count Robert Capet of France I (Robert Capet of Artois)

Robert was born on September 25th, 1216 in Paris, France.¹ Robert's father was King Louis (The Lion) Capet of France VIII and his mother was Princess Blanche Alphonsa of Castile. His paternal grandparents were King Philip Augustus Capet of France II and Isabella of Hainault; his maternal grandparents were King Alphonso (The Noble) of Castile VIII and Eleanor Plantagenet. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Philippe, Louis, John, Alphonse, Philippe, Charles, Jeanne and Isabelle. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died due to on Crusade at Monsoure, Egypt at the age of 31 on February 8th, 1248 in Monsoure, Egypt.¹
