Thomas Butler Earl of Ossory (dvp 30.07.1680) 
Thomas was born on July 1st, 1634 in Kilkenny. Thomas' father was James Butler 13th Earl, 1st Duke of Ormonde, Viscount Thurles and his mother was Elizabeth 'Baroness Dingwall' Preston dau of Sir Richard Preston, Lord Dingwall. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Butler Viscount Thurles (dvp 15.12.1619) and Elizabeth Poyntz dau of Sir John Poyntz of Acton. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Richard, John, Elisabeth and Mary. He died at the age of 46 on July 30th, 1680 in Whitehall.General Notes
