Joan Booth

Joan was born in 1400 in Dunham, Cheshire, England.¹ Joan's father was Sir John Booth and her mother was Joan de Trafford. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Booth and Elena de Workesley; her maternal grandparents were Henry de Trafford and Margery Ince. She had nine brothers and five sisters, named Robert, Henry, Ralph, John, William, Thomas, Matthew, Richard, Roger, Margaret, Johanna, Catherine, Lucy and Alice. She was the sixth youngest of the fifteen children.
