William Bateman 
William was born in September 1850 in VA and his baptism took place in Census 1900. William's father was George Bateman and his mother was Mary Rebecca Grant. His maternal grandparents were Archibald Grant and Lydia Roberts. He had a brother and three sisters, named Thomas F., Roxanne, Almeda and Lydia. He was the second oldest of the five children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Milton Grant and Ruth Jemima.General Notes
