His paternal grandparents were Joshua BROWNING Sr. and Nancy Anne SCOTT. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named Edmund Woodville, Woodville B., Robert Lewright, Alfred, Ludwell Yancy, Theodric-Frederick Lee, Charles, Thomas, Harriett Leewright and Susan Elizabeth.
