John BROWNING

John was born in 1850. John's father was Samuel Stack BROWNING and his mother was Martha THORNTON. His paternal grandparents were Gilbert BROWNING and Elizabeth STEELE. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Lum, Elias H., Robert W., Samuel Jackson, Robert Alonzo, Elizabeth Ellen and Mary Isabel. He was the second oldest of the eight children.
